Its that time of year when film royalty and society’s whose who descends on the tiny French city of Cannes for the Famed Festival. Started in 1946, the festival previews films from around the world in many different genres. Although the films take centre stage, the red carpet is eagerly anticipated as one of the hottest of the year. Film stars rub shoulders with models and musicians, all in the latest couture looks from the world’s best designers.
Here we take a look at some of our favourite looks from the festival and our red carpet ready looks on offer at The Volte. Sequins were huge as well as layers of frothy tulle. Leather made an appearance in metallics and blacks, as did statement shoulders.
