New Year’s Eve is right around the corner and you know what that means? Party time! With so many events on, it can be hard to figure out what to do. Here we take the hard part out of the equation and give you a round up of all the best parties all around Australia. Have a look at our top picks!
Sydney

With some of the best fireworks around the world, ringing in the new decade by the harbour seems the obvious choice. You could easily take a picnic and sit on a grassy knoll to view the fireworks but there are some pretty impressive parties. Luna Park is having a new year’s bonanza with tickets allowing you unlimited access to the rides until 1am.
Another great place to celebrate is hip restaurant/bar Mary’s Underground. There is a family friendly feast at 5:30pm and an adults only event from 9pm. With a spectacular set menu, this is guaranteed to be a fun affair!
For a party bang on the harbour, you can’t go past the Clark Island Garden Party. The event includes a 3 course feast, canapes and a cocktail on entry, with a DJ cranking the tunes at midnight.
Melbourne

Sydney isn’t the only city with fireworks. Melbourne puts on a damn good display along the Yarra. Why not get amongst it at Arbory Afloat? The party kicks off at 8pm and includes all the booze and food you could want!
If food is more your thing, you can’t go past legendary Mexican restaurant Mamasita. They are holding a banquet with 2 sittings, one at 6pm or a late sitting at 8:30pm. The delicious menu includes ceviche, tacos and whole fried snapper. Count me in!
One place we love is The Rooftop at QT. It will be a classy and fun affair on New Year’s Eve with GH Mumm champagne on arrival and oysters and caviar throughout the night. Yum!
Perth

If you love all things 90’s (let’s face it, who doesn’t?) then hit up late night bar & restaurant Yes Please in Northbridge. For just $20 you can eat, drink and dance the night away with 90’s tunes cranking in the background. Plus you’ll get great views of the fireworks.
One place that is guaranteed to be pumping is Bar Pop at the Ice Cream Factory. The event features 6 stages, 11 bars, food stands, rides and a huge silent disco. Get in quick though, the event sells out quickly.
For a free event, head down to the Perth Cultural Centre and Yagan Square. The City of Perth is putting on loads of free events including live music, an official countdown and a great view of the fireworks.
Brisbane

After an epic New Year’s party last year, Convent Garden in the West End are promising another! Only this year, they are teaming up with Four Pillars Distillery for a 4 course banquet dinner and 3 hours of gin cocktails. What more could you want?
If tropical vibes are more your vibe, head to The W Brisbane. The WET deck is the place to be for cocktails, tropical BBQ eats and views of the city fireworks.
White parties are huge on New Year’s, but how about a Noir party? Eleven in Fortitude Valley is holding an all black party on their rooftop with spectacular views. The night includes 5 hours of amazing food, bottomless drinks and DJs all night long.
Adelaide

Another city, another set of fireworks. Adelaide knows how to turn it on. How about ringing in the New Year and hip and iconic bar 2KW. The bar has arguably the best view of the fireworks, 8 floors up from street level and is putting on a shindig that includes a glass of Bollinger on arrival with canapes and food stations, plus DJs cranking the tunes all night. Not to miss!
If disco and dancing is more your thing, head to the Wheatsheaf Hotel for a night of sequin inspired fun. The disco extravaganza promises live music for dancing, big hair and long nails. What’s even better is that entry is free!
For a jolly good evening, head down to nautical themed bar Hains & Co. They have teamed up with iconic gin makers Never Never Distilling Co. for an evening of gin and sparkling wine. For $20, you can get one gin & tonic and late-night snacks, or for $99 you can get a package of sparkling wine, gins, gin cocktails, beers and late night snacks. Sounds fun! All aboard!
