We know that the internet has brought us many crazy trends over the years, but somehow it just keeps raising the bar, especially within the beauty industry. We always think that there is no possible way for it to out-do itself, but every single time we are mind-blown as the crazy trends keep on coming.
And this week, as we scrolled through our Instagram feeds, we saw what is one of the craziest trends to date.
The Wavy Brow.
As if our morning routine isn’t long enough already without intricately detailed brow art for our faces!
As seen by Instagrammer @slayagebyjess, the wavy brow has taken social media by storm as the beauty community now define and carve out the curves in their now squiggly brows.
Whether free-hand drawn with many heavy duty brow products, or with the help of Facetune and Photoshop, this new ‘look’ is now trending on the socials, creating just a few opinions, memes and parodies.
Last year we saw the highlighter challenge, started by a youtuber Mariya.ae, who made our social media platforms glow to the gods.
After that came the ‘100 layers challenge’ where many influencers and beauty fanatics applied many (many!) layers of products to see the outcome.
And earlier this year we saw many social media accounts use random objects in place of their beauty sponges to blend out makeup, including silicon bra inserts, marshmallows and the most recent as seen by James Charles, the fidget spinner.
It seems like there will never be a limit to crazy makeup trends, as makeup artists and beauty lovers let their creativity come to life. We love their passion for the art and the sense of community it brings, and we cannot wait to see what’s next.
